Home inventory starts to increase a bit, as an increasing amount of buyers are out looking for their new home. On top of all that, interest rates are as low as they’ve been in over a year. According to realtor.com, specifically early April is the best time to get your home on the market: The report used “trends in median listing prices, views per property on realtor.com, home price drops, median days on market, and number of listings on the market over the last three years,” to determine a ranking for every week of the year… 14x more property views, 5% less competition from other home sellers, and resulting in homes being sold 6 days faster!
May follows closely behind April. The spring real estate season is upon us and competition for buyers to find the home of their dreams is in full force. Multiple offers and bidding wars are quite common this time of year, especially with the low inventory of homes.
